The
Alabaster Offering is like “perfume
money” not spent on ourselves but given to Jesus.
There is a story about the first alabaster box in Matthew 26.
These love gifts are transformed into schools,
hospitals, churches and other buildings and properties
around the world. (80% to other countries and
20% to multi-cultural churches in the USA)
Many of us don't use the traditional
alabaster boxes anymore because we don't use cash, we use
our debit cards, so we don't have a
pocket full of change at the end of the day. Maybe
instead of using an alabaster box, God is asking you to give
a one-time gift as your love offering.
This
February we will be taking our bi-yearly Alabaster Offering.
